FAQ

Questions before you reach out?

Here are the ones we hear most. If yours isn’t here, just ask.

Do you accept insurance?

[We accept most major insurance plans, including X, Y, and Z. We also offer self-pay rates and a limited number of sliding-scale spots — ask during your consultation.]

What happens in a first session?

Your first session is about getting to know each other. We’ll ask what brought you in, what you’re hoping for, and answer any questions you have — there’s no pressure to have it all figured out.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. What you share stays between you and your therapist, with narrow legal exceptions (like risk of harm to yourself or others) that we’ll walk you through up front.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes, we offer both in-person and secure video sessions for clients located in [State]. Many clients mix and match depending on the week.

How long does treatment take?

It depends on what you’re working on. Some clients see us for a few months around a specific issue; others stay in ongoing care for years. We’ll check in regularly on what’s working.

What ages do you see?

We work with adolescents (with parent involvement), young adults, and adults. See our staff page for who specializes in which age group.

Do you offer sliding-scale rates?

[We hold a limited number of sliding-scale spots based on financial need. Ask about availability during your free consultation.]
